Memorials draw many athletes to Bendigo track as Handicaps announced

MORE than 70 athletes will compete at Memorials Night run by Athletics Bendigo region this Saturday night at the Flora Hill track. Major events on the program are the Sally Conroy Memorial 200m, sponsored by G.M. and G.L. Hilson Builders, and the Richard Kitt Memorial 1500m, backed by Parker Electrical. A big night of track action at the Bendigo Regional Athletics Complex in Retreat Road starts at 7pm and will include the Little Athletics 200m and 800m, sponsored by InterSport Bicknells.

SOUTH Bendigo put in a brilliant effort to be second in the division two points tally at Saturday’s fourth round of Athletics Victoria Shield League. EAGLEHAWK and Bendigo Harriers scored plenty of points in Saturday’s second round of Athletics Victoria Shield League track and field action at the Bendigo Regional Athletics Complex in Flora Hill. The Hawks have made the jump to premier division and had a dramatic impact in the early weeks of the season.
