GOLD and a residential record to Eaglehawk's Angus McKindlay in the Open Mens 400m Hurdles capped Bendigo Region's run at Athletics Victoria's latest state field and track championships, which also included a gold medal for Shot put star Emma Berg and Harrison Boyd in the Under-20 3000m. Jayden Padgham took the silver behind Boyd whilst Tullie Rowe opened the weekend with a sublime run to silver in the Open Women's 1500m.
EAGLEHAWK Athletics Club has extended its run of team dominance at the Victorian Country Track and Field Championships to six titles in a row.
The Bendigo Regional Athletics Track is set to be abuzz this Saturday 8th of October, with the return of the Little Athletics and Athletics Bendigo seasons for 2022-23. Due to the unfavourable weather forecast, the Little Athletics session on Friday night has been re-scheduled to Saturday morning, commencing at 8:15am. The Athletics Victoria Shield League (AVSL) round will commence for Athletics Bendigo athletes in the afternoon from 1:30pm.
MORE medals and personal bests are in the sights of South Bendigo’s Chelsea Tickell in the run to the end of the 2021-22 track and field season. Chelsea is bound for Lakeside Stadium on March 12 and 13 to contest the Commonwealth Bank-sponsored Little Athletics State Championships.
