A very warm welcome to our NEW Athletics Bendigo Venue Manager – Melissa Edwards!
Melissa joins us having recently worked as a Legal Assistant and a Business Administrator. Her daughter regularly competes in athletics, too.
As Venue Manager, Melissa will be responsible for overseeing Lar Birpa Athletics Complex in Flora Hill.
Her role includes:
  • School bookings (20,000 students per year),
  • Venue is ready for Little Athletics and Athletics Bendigo competitions,
  • Equipment maintenance and upkeep,
  • Providing secretariat support to the Athletics Bendigo Board,
  • Venue bookings for other community groups, and
  • Venue maintenance (in conjunction with City of Greater Bendigo).
“We are thrilled that Melissa has joined us and we are excited to see her working with schools, officials and community groups. We acknowledge the fantastic work of Siobhan Thompson who recently finished up as our General Manager,” Athletics Bendigo President, Nigel Preston said.
