Our amazing outgoing General Manager – Siobhan Thompson – is concluding her role in October for a big move interstate to the NSW Central Coast. Siobhan has been a tremendous General Manager of our organisation over the past three and a quarter years.
The Venue Manager will be responsible for overseeing the booking and usage, maintenance and equipment management of the Lar Birpa Athletics Complex in Bendigo.
The Lar Birpa Athletics Complex is an exceptional facility that is used for school athletics carnivals, Little Athletics competitions, Athletics Bendigo / Athletics Victoria competitions, training, major events, and community events.

A brief word of thanks for Siobhan Thompson, outgoing General Manager
We wish to acknowledge the amazing work of the outgoing General Manager, Siobhan Thompson. Siobhan has been a super operator in managing the organisation over the past three and a quarter years. Siobhan has managed to stay across the myriad of venue users, including school carnivals, Little Athletics competitions, Athletics Bendigo competitions, and special events such as the 5k Frenzy during her time.
There have been many silent projects undertaken of the past three years, including track certification, implement upgrades and replacements and photo finish upgrades.
During her tenure, the venue has been renamed to Lar Birpa and looks better than ever from the roadside, whilst on the inside, officials, volunteers and athletes have been able to get on with performing at their very best.
Siobhan has decided the time is now right for him to move on from her General Manager role and move interstate to the Central Coast of NSW.
