Athletics Bendigo is seeking a General Manager to lead the organisation in carrying out all functions for its not-for-profit operations at our first class facility, and to continue the promotion of athletics in the region.
The role, which is detailed in greater detail in the position description linked below, encompasses three key areas:
- Organisation Administration
- Venue Management
- Sponsorship and Grants
The role also involves providing support for the following activities:
- School Athletics Carnivals
- Summer Track Season (including Little Athletics and athletics Bendigo competitions.
- Special Events
- Winter Cross Country Season

We wish to acknowledge the tremendous work of the outgoing General Manager, Terry Hicks, who has played a superb role in leading the organisation over the past four years. Given the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic for organised sport and the impact on both Little Athletics, senior athletics and school carnivals during this time, Terry has played a key role throughout this time and athletics in the region is now on a strong footing for the future. Terry has decided the time is now right for him to move on from this General Manager role. He will still continue his involvement at club and coaching level.
