South Bendigo athlete and Australian Shot Put Champion, Emma Berg, is preparing to board a plane for Europe to compete in three international competitions representing Australia in July and August. Whilst the idea of overseas competition may seem glamorous, it’s also expensive, with the trip set to cost at least $6,000.00.
Emma and her coach, Peter Barrett, are calling for tax deductible donations of support to enable her to make it to the ‘toe board’ at two UK Championships (Under 23 and Open) and the AAI games in Ireland from the 13th of July to the 1st of August, 2022.
Emma and Peter have created a fundraising page through the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) to help cover some of the costs of her trip including travel, physiotherapy, training and competition. Any contribution of $2 or more are tax deductible and will also be greatly appreciated.
