Eaglehawk’s ploy to use the PowerPlay paid off in Saturday’s eighth round of AVSL track and field action run by Flack Advisory Services Group-backed Bendigo Region. In a fierce contest to claim a top two spot on the division two ladder and promotion to premier league for next season, Eaglehawk scored 28,646 points in the latest round at the Flora Hill complex.
Bendigo Harriers put in another great effort in Saturday’s second round of Athletics Victoria Shield League action at Flack Advisory Bendigo Region’s track and field meet. The Harriers line-up scored 13,821 points as Frankston led the way in division three on 16,779. South Bendigo’s tally of 18,530 earned eighth place in Premier division. Eaglehawk put up a great fight against the powerful Chilwell and Sandringham clubs to be third in the Division two standings.
