AVSL 2020/21 - Bendigo - Round 1 (Twilight)

This session combines Round 1 of the 2020/21 Athletics Victoria Shield League (AVSL) in sessions 1 and 2, with an additional non-scoring round of activities provided by Athletics Bendigo in Session 3.

Draft Program (subject to entries):

AVSL Session 1 – Starts at 6:30 PM (Limit of 50)

• Mixed 600m, Mixed Long Jump, Mixed Discus
• Men 60m
• Women 60m

AVSL Session 2 – Starts at 7:40 PM (Limit of 50)

• Mixed 600m, Mixed Long Jump, Mixed Discus
• Men 60m
• Women 60m

Session 3 (Non-AVSL Scoring Round) – Starts at 8:50 PM (Limit of 50)

• Mixed 1500m, Mixed Hammer Throw
• Men 200m
• Women 200m

The choice by Athletics Bendigo, in consultation with Athletics Victoria to include or exclude events is based on three factors:

• Safety for participants, coaches, and event staff
• Participation numbers over the past two seasons
• Ensure event value is the best it can be, encouraging people back into the sport.

Entry Fees:

• Those with AV + AVSL Package $0.00.
• AV registered + no AVSL Package $15 each week.
• Not AV registered $20.00 each week.
  (This year, credit card charges will be added to your account upon registration).

Event Notes and Guidelines:

• There is no entry on the day. Only entry via the online system will be accepted.
• This competition is only open to athletes born from 2009. That is: turns 12 in 2021 and above.
• There is a maximum limit of 50 athletes to compete PER SESSION.
• Only one parent/guardian/carer can attend the event.
• Coaches can only be present if they act as an official or club helper.
• Athletics Bendigo reserves its right to refuse entry based on COVID 19 Rules in place.
• It is anticipated that athletes will enter events with the intention to compete in that event. Not that they MAY compete.
• Entry lists including track heats are to be posted prior to the competition.
• There is no requirement for athletes to sign in.
