Athletics Bendigo’s Tuesday Night Track Series is presented by AL Parker Electrical and offers you the chance to test yourself and your peers on our top-class athletics track.

Distances: 3,000 metres & 1,000 metres

This season, a separate race will be held for under 11’s of 1000m, which others can join, too! The 1000m will be run from the same start position and at the same time as heat one of the 3000m.
If enough numbers, the second heat will be for the fast runners based on seed time.

Event Notes and Guidelines:

  • There is no entry on the day, only entry via the online system will be accepted.
  • The 3000m competition is only open to athletes born from 2011. That is: turns 11 in 2021 and above.
  • Training is not permitted to be conducted during this event.
  • The cost of participation is $4.00 per athlete 11 years and older; $2.00 per athlete for athletes under 11 years of age.
  • Alternatively, athletes can purchase a Tuesday Night Season pass for: Open $32.00 or Under 18s: $24.00.
  • Entries close at 8:00 pm on Monday prior to the event.
  • Athletes are encouraged to enter the track by 6:45 pm (gates open at 6:15 pm).
  • It is anticipated that athletes will enter events with the intention to compete in that event, not that they MAY compete.
  • Entry lists including track heats are to be posted prior to the competition, follow our facebook page for updates.
  • There is no requirement for athletes to sign in.
  • Athletics Bendigo reserves its right to refuse entry based on COVID-19 Rules in place.

Ern Hammer Memorial 3000m2021-11-25T22:39:12+11:00

The Eaglehawk Floral Boutique Ern Hammer Memorial 3000 metres Handicap will be held on Saturday 27th November 2021 starting at 3:30 pm at Bendigo Regional Athletics Complex.

This event is only for Registered Athletics Victoria athletes.

  • 1st place: $100.00 and Sash
  • 2nd place: $50.00
  • 3rd place: $25.00
  • Fastest Time: $25.00

Entry Fees:

The cost to enter is $10 for AV registered with Track Package, $15 AV registered no Track Package.

Event Notes:

  • This is a ‘handicap’ event, so athletes will race off the times set by the handicappers.
  • This is a Non-Scoring AVSL event.
  • To assist the handicappers please accurately complete the questions in the registration form for your best times. Put ‘NT’ if you have not competed at the asked distance in the last 3 years.
  • Athletes competing in other events on the day must pay the normal AVSL Fees.
  • NO LATE ENTRIES will be accepted.

5k Frenzy 2022, presented by the Bendigo Harriers2021-11-10T23:54:54+11:00

An initiative of the Bendigo Harriers Athletics Club marks the return of the second 5km Frenzy event.

There will be live bands, circus performers, roaming mascots and food outlets, athletes and spectators are invited to enjoy a real carnival atmosphere.
Spectators will be able to get up close and on track to watch some of the best 5000m runners in Victoria.

Athlete notes:

  • There will no need to check in, simply collect your bib and race number from the start line at least 15 minutes prior to your race.
  • Bibs and numbers will be available from the shelter at the 5000m start line.
  • You are also able to leave gear under the shelter, however, we would encourage you to leave it with family or friends to ensure security.
    The Bendigo Harriers will not be responsible for any lost goods during the event.

Welcome to the Athletics Bendigo Summer 2021-22 Competition on Saturday 12 February 2022.

What is AVSL?

Contested during the summer season, this year from November to March, Athletics Victoria Shield League (AVSL) is Athletics Victoria’s summer track and field competition. Your AV clubs battle it out for promotion and relegation.

To compete in AVSL, an AV membership and Summer package can be purchased using the links below; however, if you wish just to come and try, you can pre-enter online as a trialing participant for one round.

110Metre Hurdles: U18/U20/Open/40+ Men

100Metre Hurdles: U18/U20/Open Women & U16/50+/60+ Men

90Metre Hurdles: U16 Women & U14 Men

80Metre Hurdles: U14/40+/50+/60+ Women

1.45pm:

1500m Walk: All Men & Women (Athlete can choose)
300m Walk: All Men & Women (Athlete can choose)

2.05pm:

100 Metres: Men

2.15pm:

100 Metres Women

2.35pm:

1500 Metres Men & Women

3.00pm:

4 x 100m AV Relay Seed Men & Women

3.15pm:

3000 Metre: Men & Women

Entry Fees

  • $0.00 for AV Registered and paid AVSL package.
  • $20 Open AV registered but no AVSL package.
  • $15 Under 20 AV registered, but no AVSL package.
  • $26 for Open non-registered athletes.
  • $20 for Under 20 but over 11 years of age, non-registered athletes.
  • Note: Credit card charges will be added to the above fees.
  • Extra charge of $5 for on-the-day entry and is subject to available spaces in the fields.
